Sweet anticipation (maternity)

For this family of 3 (soon to be 4) we stayed at home and posed them in the window light then headed off to the beach to catch some gorgeous evening light. I love giant windows for soft glowing maternity portraits, so don’t leave out your living room as a possible location for your maternity or family session.

Here a just of few of my favourites from this session!

First Look

I’m so pleased to share Garrett an Elizabeth’s “First Look” images. As I approched the hall with the bride and saw Garret waiting with his back to us, I could hardly contain my excitement. Because even if you are a non traditional couple who spend the morning of your wedding together…that 1st time you see each other dressed and made over, ready to walk to the aisle its magical. Stay tuned for this couples wedding slideshow to be posted this week!

Teddy Bear Picnic

One of my favourite stylized baby sessions ever! You know me, I love incorporating props and concepts into my shoot to create something truly unique…And I am so thankful this sweet little guy rocked it and my vision came to life.

I would love to hear from you. What ideas would you like to incorporate into a photoshoot for you little one?

Something Sweet For The New Blog

As I’m working on my new website/blog, I’m thinking to my self…I’m sick of looking at an empty page, I want to look at something cute instead! So here is it a sweet little 4 month old girl!

Typically I book newborn (1st week), then 6 month (or as soon as they can sit up) and a 1 year cake smash. But I am so glad we got her in for a session at 4 months because it is a stage not commonly photographed…but oh so special, filled with lots of toes in the mouth moments and lots of sweet baby coo’s. Plus photographing them before they are able to sit up just gives me a reason to be extra creative and try out some props I would not typically use for babies, like my hat box and the clothes line shot! Here are a few of my favourites. *Note, as with all images you will find on this site, images have been uploaded in web resolution so you may notice some “dithering” or that they are not as good of quality as my prints.
